Network & Connectivity
Network infrastructure that scales with your ambition.
Your Network is Your Competitive Advantage (Even If You Don't Know It)
Network infrastructure is invisible when it works. Users can access the cloud, VoIP calls come through clearly, video conferences are smooth. But when it breaks, everything stops—not just communication, but access to cloud applications, data, everything. A 2-hour network outage costs more than a year of network maintenance.
Most Singapore businesses inherit network architecture from 10 years ago, patched and extended until it's a mess. Too many devices on congested Wi-Fi, leased lines that cost a fortune and barely use the available bandwidth, cabling running through walls with no documentation. We modernize this into infrastructure that scales with your growth instead of constraining it.
SD-WAN: Speed and Cost in One Move
Traditional WAN (the network connecting your offices and data centres) is built on expensive leased lines from telecommunications carriers. If you have offices in Singapore, Jakarta and Bangkok, you pay for three separate pipes. If one fails, traffic can't reroute. And you can't use them efficiently—you pay for peak capacity even during quiet times.
SD-WAN (Software-Defined WAN) abstracts this: you run traffic over whatever connectivity you have available—leased lines, broadband, mobile links, cloud interconnects. The SD-WAN controller routes traffic intelligently, using high-quality connections for critical apps and cheaper broadband for less sensitive traffic. When one link fails, traffic automatically reroutes. And you save 30-50% on bandwidth costs while getting better performance and reliability.
We design and implement SD-WAN across your entire footprint—Singapore headquarters, regional offices, remote workers. We also build security and segmentation into the SD-WAN fabric so traffic is always encrypted and inspected, even when it's flowing over untrusted internet links.
Enterprise Wi-Fi Design for Real Spaces
Slapping access points on the ceiling and hoping for coverage doesn't work. We survey your space (measuring signal strength and interference) and design Wi-Fi that actually works—coverage in every zone, minimal roaming issues, capacity for your peak concurrent users, separate networks for guests so they can't reach corporate systems.
We also design for security: WPA3 encryption, separate SSIDs for different sensitivity levels (open for guests, protected for corporate), monitoring for rogue access points, and regular security audits. A hacked Wi-Fi network is a direct path into your corporate systems.
Enterprise Wi-Fi also needs management. We help you choose platforms (Cisco Meraki, Arista, Ubiquiti, Fortinet) that offer cloud management, monitoring, and analytics so you can see which users are having problems and fix them proactively instead of waiting for complaints.
Structured Cabling: The Hidden Foundation
When you need to add a new office, expand a floor, or install a security camera system, where does the network cable go? If your building doesn't have structured cabling (organized runs of copper or fiber, neatly terminated, documented), you end up with patch cables snaking across ceilings, poor performance, and no idea what plugs into what.
We design and install structured cabling infrastructure: horizontal runs in cable trays to each desk, vertical backbones connecting floors, MDF (main distribution frame) and IDF (intermediate distribution frames) properly organized. This becomes your foundation for decades—upgrading to 10GbE or higher later is just swapping electronics, not ripping out cable.
Proper cabling also means redundancy: critical circuits on separate paths so a single cable cut doesn't break everything. And documentation that actually stays current instead of becoming obsolete five minutes after installation.
Firewalls and Security Segmentation
Your firewall isn't just a perimeter defence anymore. Modern networks need zero-trust security: verifying every user and device, encrypting traffic between segments, detecting threats in real-time. We architect firewall deployments that do this without becoming a bottleneck—throughput matters, but so does security.
We also build network segmentation: keeping critical systems (financial data, customer databases, intellectual property) on separate network segments that untrusted devices can't reach without explicit authorization. A compromised employee laptop shouldn't be able to see your entire network—it should be restricted to approved resources.
Unified Communications (VoIP & Video)
Separate systems for voice and data are dying. Modern unified communications—Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco Webex—run over your data network. But this creates new challenges: voice calls need low latency and packet loss (even 1-2% packet loss is audible), video requires high bandwidth, and network congestion makes calls drop.
We design QoS (Quality of Service) policies that prioritize voice and video over email and browsing. We also handle call recording compliance, integration with legacy phone systems if you still have them, and failover so calls don't drop when one network link fails.
And we ensure these systems integrate with your directory (so you can call someone by name instead of remembering their IP phone number), record appropriately for compliance or training purposes, and deliver the call quality your team expects.
Branch Connectivity & Redundancy for Multi-Office Operations
If you have offices in multiple locations, they need to connect. That might be SD-WAN (which we covered above), but it also means designing for redundancy: if your Singapore HQ loses connectivity to your Jakarta office, what happens? Do they keep working (mesh network between offices)? Do they connect direct to cloud resources? Do they fall back to mobile tethering and reduced functionality?
We build network architectures where branch failures are survivable. Some traffic reroutes automatically. Critical applications stay available even if the primary link is down. And your NOC (network operations centre) is alerted immediately so they can fix the problem.
Network Monitoring and Performance Troubleshooting
Most network problems aren't visible until users complain. A DNS server is slow, so email lags. A router is oversubscribed, so downloads crawl. A security appliance is misconfigured, so certain traffic gets blocked. None of this shows up in simple monitoring until it becomes a crisis.
We deploy detailed network monitoring: watching latency, packet loss, jitter, and throughput across critical paths. We also monitor application performance—is a slow download caused by the network, the server, or the user's internet? When problems emerge, we can pinpoint the cause in minutes instead of hours.
How much does SD-WAN cost compared to traditional leased lines?
Usually 30-50% less for the same bandwidth, plus better reliability and failover. A 10 Mbps leased line might cost S$1500-2000/month. 10 Mbps of bonded broadband + SD-WAN costs S$500-1000/month. Plus you get better performance for cloud applications because traffic goes direct to the cloud instead of backhaul through a central office.
Can we keep our existing network and just upgrade parts of it?
Yes. Most companies evolve their network incrementally. We might implement SD-WAN first, then upgrade Wi-Fi, then restructure cabling. Each upgrade stands alone and improves your situation. You don't need to rip and replace everything at once.
What happens if our network is attacked or breached?
A well-designed network makes attacks harder and slower to propagate. Segmentation means a compromised user device can't see sensitive systems. Encrypted connections mean attackers can't read traffic even if they intercept it. And monitoring means we detect unusual traffic patterns (lateral movement, data exfiltration) and isolate the problem immediately. No network is impenetrable, but good network architecture is your first line of defence.
